Schlenderhan Stud, Bergheim

In 2006 a training center was established for Gestüt Schlenderhan, one of the oldest and most famous German thoroughbred stud farms. A very modern and comfortable stable complex for 70 thoroughbreds incorporating a covered trotting ring, storage, office buildings and staff accommodation. Situated close to the main stud farm this projected was completed by our office in 1989.

It features a main training track is 2.200 m long with a 1.000 m straight and in addition a 30 m wide grass training track and a 5,50 m wide sand track for daily training.

Having moved to the new facilities Schlenderhan was rewarded by having the winners of the German Derby in both 2007 and 2009, following a drought of 31 years where the title eluded them.
